Shine Festival

16th September 2019Miss S Padden

Welcome back to a new school year!

Over the last 2 weeks we have been celebrating how fabulous we all are by having our own ‘Shine Festival’

Pupils across the school have been participating in activities related to their own individual talents, family background and their likes and dislikes.

Most importantly the message is it’s good to be different and we all have our own unique talents and interests.

We had a visit from a drummer, a juggler and a balloon artist last week. All pupils enjoyed these visitors and had lots of fun trying new things.

Pupils across the school have been participating in activities related to their own individual talents, family background and their likes and dislikes.

On Friday we finished the week by having a special parade around our school field. Each class made their own colourful banner and staff and pupils were encouraged to come to school dressed in bright rainbow colours.

What a fabulous start to the new school year!

Kwik Cricket

12th July 2019Miss S Padden
Some of our students from KS3 enjoyed a brilliant Kwik Cricket tournament organised by Ron and Olly from Durham County Cricket Club at Emirates Riverside stadium.
Our students were among some outstanding cricketers from six other educational settings across the North East. We achieved 3rd place which is fantastic. The sportsmanship, attitude and behaviour of all participants really did make it a thoroughly enjoyable day for all staff and students involved in the event.
