Primary department celebrated the harvest festival in assembly this morning.

Today we had our own music festival ‘Keelfest’
Pupils came to school dressed in festival clothing and enjoyed face painting and balloon making.
We all enjoyed the inflatable obstacle course and a visit from the ice cream van.
A great time was had by all in the dance tent, followed by a fantastic show featuring a group of our senior pupils who signed and danced to some well known songs.
What a brilliant day!!
On Monday Blue 2 enjoyed one last educational visit for this academic year. We had great game of bowling and went on for a 2 course lunch together at Frankie and Benny’s. Using the local community for leisure purposes gives student’s the opportunity to develop important life skill’s.
Some students from across different key stages took part in this years Kwik Cricket completion that was held at the amazing Emirates ground in County Durham. The 9 students that went had the most amazing day from start to finish. They displayed outstanding sportsmanship as well as fantastic teamwork. Our school team won every single one of their games whilst having a brilliant time and making new friends.

During the Summer term the school council had a meeting some with Elizabeth Duke from South Tyneside Council. Elizabeth chatted with the school council members about the different food items they wanted on their BBQ.
The school council also organised a mocktail completion in school and a BBQ for everyone to enjoy. Michelle from the kitchen had such a hard job choosing 1 winner for the mocktail she had to choose 2! The winners were Bobby Williams and Charlie Oliver. The winning mocktails were made on the bbq day for everyone to try.
A Hawaiian theme was the order of the day with everyone wearing their colourful garlands. Staff and students sat together and enjoyed their lunch in the sun. A fantastic time was had by all.
Post 16 pupils celebrated their achievement in style this week for their prom.
They were given the red carpet treatment at The Little Haven Hotel and partied the afternoon away.
Staff and pupils spent the morning being pampered by having their hair and make up done before leaving school at lunchtime. Staff and pupils looked fabulous.
The Little Haven provided a hot buffet lunch and mocktail’s before they were awarded medals and certificates for their achievements this year.
It was an especially important day for our leavers this year. They had the opportunity to stand up and read out a speech to their friends and staff.
A wonderful afternoon was had by all
A huge thank you to The Little Haven Hotel for once again providing an excellent venue and giving our pupils a day to remember.
Another fantastic turn out for our School Fair this morning. A bonus the sun was shining too!
Pupil and staff have worked hard making fabulous items to sell from sweet kebabs to planters for the garden.
Lot’s of great games going on too which involved some staff getting very wet!
We even had a visitor called Marley who gave everyone a ride in the sunshine.
A huge queue for our raffle and tombola stall as usual with some excellent prizes up for grabs!

What a fantastic morning pupils, parents and mentors had celebrating KS4 and Post 16 Work Experience Awards.
The hall was decorated with blue and white balloons, a read carpet was even laid out for the special occasion.
Mrs French and staff prepared a lovely buffet for us all to enjoy.
What a way to celebrate our pupils fantastic achievements during their work placements this year.
It was great to see so many mentors who proudly presented pupils their certificates.
Mr Mac was a great compere and entertained the audience throughout the morning

As part of our topic on Transport, Green Class 1 visited Stephenson Museum today. We really enjoyed looking at all the different trains and even managed to dress up in some of the old clothing.
Indigo and Blue 2 enjoyed lunch out today at My Shanghai Chinese Restaurant in North Shields.
Pupils put a bid into The Key to go out for a Chinese meal as part of their topic about Asian Culture.
All pupils had the opportunity to try a variety of different Chinese dishes.
It was delicious!
